  11. for details on PhotoSpin and the images on this disk. If youÆd 
  12. prefer a language other than US English, we have versions in 
  13. Japanese, French, Italian, German, and Spanish as well. YouÆll 
  14. find them in their respective subfolders inside the Kick Me Folder. 
  15. To read the PDF documents, youÆll need Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.01,
  16. which weÆve included for your convenience.  If you donÆt have a copy
  17. already installed, please refer to the end of this document for 
  18. installation instructions.

  20. For your convenience weÆve cataloged each of the images in this
  21. series using Extensis Portfolio. Portfolio is a simple and efficient
  22. electronic catalog that allows you to search images by keyword and 
  23. preview images on-screen. You can run the "Vol_#_.FDB" directly from
  24. the CD using the Portfolio Browser Application, but for better 
  25. performance we recommend you install the Portfolio application on
  26. your hard drive. To install, simply double click the "Portfolio 301
  27. Installer.exe" or from the "Start..." menu, select "Run...", click
  28. the "Browse..." button, then navigate to your CD-ROM drive, find 
  29. "Portfolio 301 Installer.exe" and open it. It will launch the 
  30. Portfolio Setup Program which will guide you through the
  31. installation process. Please note that the full commercial version
  32. of Portfolio is installed, but its ability to function fully is
  33. limited to 60 days from the time of installation. If you like using
  34. Portfolio, you can keep it fully functioning by purchasing a serial
  35. number from Extensis and personalizing your copy of Portfolio. If
  36. you decide not to personalize it, you will lose some of the
  37. funtionality of "Portfolio", and after the 60 day trial period it
  38. will work like "Browser" (ie: you won't be able to create your own
  39. Portfolio files).

  41. For your protection, as well as our Artists, each of PhotoSpinÆs 
  42. Royalty Free Digital Images have been "digitally watermarked" using
  43. Digimarc technology. The Digimarc watermark can be seen by a
  44. computer but is imperceptible to the human eye. For automatic
  45. Digimarc detection to occur, the Digimarc "Detect Watermark" plug-in
  46. must be installed with your imaging software. A copyright symbol (⌐)
  47. will appear in the title bar of a watermarked image to notify the 
  48. user of its restricted usage. Included in the watermark information
  49. is DigimarcÆs web address where you can obtain further information
  50. about the copyright holder. For a copy of the "Detect Watermark" 
  51. plug-in and further information regarding Digimarc please contact
  52. them directly or visit their web site at www.digimarc.com.
